Friends Near and Far

Missions at home and abroad, and people of differing backgrounds worshiping God together has always been the heartbeat of Zion City Church. To that end we have partnered with missionaries and ministries throughout the world. Here are just a few of those connections and people with whom we give prayer and financial support.

Teen Missions International in Merritt Island, Florida has partnered with us in the purchase of our church building at Iowa & Osage.

AFRICA OUTREACH:

Check out:

https://www.motorcyclessmissions.org/

The mission is to reach specific locations. Circuit Riders penetrate rural areas in Africa, Asia, and Central America:

  • with remote roads
  • withstanding the rainy season
  • which lack bridges
  • or are simply too rough for larger vehicles

The impassible is possible with the motorcycles we ride!

Goals:

  • Effectively Teach Sunday School Curriculum & Communicate the Gospel
  • Hold Literacy Classes for both Children & Adults with the use of English Phonics
  • Start Audio-Bible Listening Groups & Organized Bible Studies
  • Establish a Bible Memory Quiz Team (Our Finalists Attend TMI Boot Camp)
  • Disciple & Train the Local Adults to Continue Teaching Sunday School Classes

TANZANIA & THE MAASAI CHOIR Jacob & Kimberly Mills live and work in Arusha, Tanzania as missionaries.  They are part of Pamoja Ministries working in partnership with several indigenous Tanzanian organizations. The Maasai Choir visited the United States several years ago and we were thrilled to have them in our services – singing along with the Zion City Church Choir and area Youth Choir.

ZIMBABWE – Lester and Peggy Seiler have been missionaries living in Africa for over 47 years!  It is our privilege to know them and to lift up the ministry there. They have requested prayer for Zimbabwe as it struggles with political and economic stress.  Contact them at lpseiler@wmeus.com

HONDURAS

Seventeen years ago Leonard and Marie Jones came to Honduras on a missions trip. They saw the poverty and despair that was wide spread in Honduras, they knew God would one day call them back. Eight years have past since they packed their bags and drove with their family from Burleson, TX to Honduras. They are now permanently residing in La Ceiba, where they have opened a children’s home, and are known as “Papa & Mama”. See their website at:  http://www.casaderoc.org/www.casaderoc.org/Home.html  for more information!

CHINA

Since February 2007, Ben and Michelle Godard and their three sons  have ministered love and joy to the children at the Pingyu Home of Hope in China.

Read their story, watch a video or lift that ministry up in prayer with us! See more at the Pingyu Home of Hope website and on Facebook.
